What would it cost you?
Move the slider to your average Sarawak Energy bill. We'll size a system and compare today's NEM subsidy with the announced 2027 subsidy. These are estimates; your site survey gives the real numbers.
Change the assumptions
Divide your bill amount by the kWh used, both shown on your bill.
| 2026 NEM subsidy (in force now) | RM0 |
|---|---|
| You pay with 2026 subsidy | RM0 |
| Announced 2027 subsidy (estimate: 50%, max RM15,000) | RM0 |
| You pay with 2027 subsidy | RM0 |
| Estimated bill saving per month | RM0 |
| Payback with 2027 subsidy | 0 yrs |
Yellow share = government's estimated portion of your system cost. 2027 figures assume the subsidy is half the system cost up to RM15,000, as the Premier described; final rules may differ.

Questions homeowners are asking
Is the RM15,000 subsidy official?
The Premier announced it publicly on 3 October 2026 in Mukah. The detailed rules haven't been published yet and are expected with Budget Sarawak 2027 on 12 October. We'll update this page the same day.
Should I install now with the 2026 subsidy, or wait for 2027?
It depends on your system size and on whether the new subsidy replaces or tops up the NEM one, which isn't known yet. For small systems the difference may be modest; for a RM30,000 system it could be several thousand ringgit. Pre-register and we'll run both numbers for your home once the rules are out.
Does pre-registering cost anything or commit me?
No. Pre-registration is free and there's no obligation. It puts you on our survey list so your design is ready when applications open.
Who can apply?
For the 2026 NEM subsidy, applications must be filed by a Sarawak Energy registered contractor for a domestic account. Eligibility for 2027 will be confirmed in the official guidelines.
How does Net Energy Metering work in Sarawak?
Your panels generate electricity and Sarawak Energy credits that generation against what your household uses, so you pay only the difference. SESCO installs the metering needed for this.
What about batteries?
Batteries are optional and add cost. The Premier mentioned sodium battery systems in the same speech, but we don't yet know if the subsidy covers them. Ask us for a quote with and without.
Pre-register for the 2027 solar subsidy
We'll reply on WhatsApp within one working day and book your free roof survey. Homes surveyed early can be submitted first when applications open.
